Overview
Identify the opening, choose the mounting method and frame, then plan the panel layout. Take final measurements only after those choices are settled. Read the full sequence before entering the order.
1. Identify the window
Record the opening style, trim profile, sill, recess depth and projecting hardware. Photograph anything that affects the frame or panel movement.
2. Choose the mounting method
Compare a recess fit with a face fit using the available depth and fixing surfaces. Resolve obstructions before choosing the mount.
3. Choose the frame and colour
Select the profile that works with the chosen mount. Compare a physical finish sample in the room before confirming the colour.
4. Plan the panels
Plan panel joins, hinge directions and access to the window. Keep each panel within the product's limits and check its opening path.
5. Take final measurements
Measure the window using the exact mount-specific guide and check the figures again. Keep width and drop clearly labelled and apply only the allowances the instructions request.
