Why plan by the bay

Built for multiple runs and corners

A bay window rarely fits a single straight track. Box and bay curtains are configured run by run, with each corner checked and recorded on its own.

01

Box or angled bay shape

Choose between a squared box bay or an angled bay shape, matched to the actual corners in your window.

02

Each run measured separately

Bay window curtains are measured left, centre and right as separate runs, since a window-frame length is not automatically the finished track length.

03

Confirmed from your sketch

Send a front photo and a plan-view sketch of the window segments and corners before the arrangement is confirmed as a manufacturing order.

02

Runs and splits

Measure the left, centre and right runs separately, then add one or two splits if needed.

Common questions

Box and Bay Curtains: your questions answered.

What are bay window curtains measured as?+

Bay window curtains are measured as separate runs, left, centre and right, each recorded with its own angle and intended join. A window-frame length is not automatically the finished track length.

What is the difference between a box bay and an angled bay?+

A box bay uses squared, right-angle corners, while an angled bay uses corners closer to 135 degrees. Choose the shape that matches your actual window before you measure each run and record the angles.

Do I need a sketch for bay window curtains?+

Yes. Provide a front photo together with a plan-view sketch marking each window segment, corner and the planned track path, so the available system and measuring references can be confirmed before manufacture.

Can bay window curtains be motorised?+

Yes. A Motorised track is available for box and angled bay arrangements, alongside a remote, track colour and smart hub connection, in addition to the standard Designer track.

Which heading works on bay window curtains?+

Bay window curtains are available with S Fold, Pencil Pleat or Pinch Pleat, matched to the Sheers or Blockout fabric range you choose, alongside a Designer or Motorised track for the finished bay.

Is every corner in a bay window exactly square?+

Not necessarily. Check each angle independently with an angle finder or an accurate template, since a corner that looks square may not be exactly 90 degrees once it is properly measured.
